Items To Stock Up On

Just a list of ideas from myself and friends:
Keep checking back as I update this list. I started it 9/19/16 as I awaited the birth of our child days later.
I have a lot of these broken down in blog post but someone said they wanted a list.

-fire starters (look for blog post on this)
-water stored in proper water storage containers (food grade only)
-gas:
must be rotated every 4 months or add a stabilizer to keep it longer
OR a 55G drum with a stabilizer every 6 months and it is good for 3 years (cost us $400 a few years ago)
-Food grade storage containers to store food in on top of food already stored
-Freeze dried or dehydrated foods (food depends on your choices but you need the basics)
-Candles
-Meds - look at natural alternatives for your prescription meds as they will not be available once SHTF
-Knives - for cooking, building, safety, and more
-Guns - for limited use as you will run out of bullets, for safety but more so for hunting (this is not for everyone)
-Rope/Paracord - so many uses!
-Baking Soda (see my post about the many uses of baking soda)
-Water Purification tablets
-Hydrogen Peroxide  (I have to look up shelf stability as I can't remember off the top of my head)
-Homemade detergent - saves space, doesn't smell to give your position away, and better for the environment
-Cloth diapers and wipes if you have little ones as disposables will take up space and make trash
-Crisco (see my post about using it as an emergency candle)

more to come!
-----------------------------------------------------
Starting to add more 4/16/24:
-purple dead nettle: tea, salve, tincture
-mint: dried or freshly grown
